All nighters destroy
Made some amazing progress on our Distributed Systems course! We have
a game running across multiple computers, it only took a few all
nighters to pull off. We have been behind the other groups so its been
great to actually get something demoed. I’m going to use this blog post as an opportunity to rant about the
busy-ness of my semester. I am taking CMPT 307 (Algorithms), CMPT 431
(Distributed Systems), CMPT 363(User interface design) , and CMPT 376
(writing course — which is the cause of my more frequent blogging!).
Oh, and on top of that, I work at Electronic Arts and SFU AV part
time… It is getting insane, I only have time for work and school. I
just spent the weekend doing our distributed systems project, and now,
I am drawing mockup UI for my CMPT 363 couse, and studying for CMPT
307 as well. On the bright side, there is really nothing to complain
about in terms of the content, so far I’m learning a lot in all of my
courses. My girlfriend isn’t so happy though :S I will do a semester review when the dust is settled!
