When Office 2008 came out, I was more then excited, I was ecsta­tic. Finally, I thought, Microsoft would come out with a office suit that would shat­ter the com­pe­ti­tion, deliver the be-all end-all Office suit for the Mac.

Never again would I have to put up with the overly sim­ple Pages by Apple

Never again would I have to put up with the unac­cept­able speeds that Office 2004 run­ning through Rosetta.

Never again would I have to put up with the flaws of the open source prod­uct NeoOffice.

With the hype build­ing around the suite, I thought Microsoft had done it…

I was wrong.

What’s wrong with this picture?

For those of you with Macs, you might be a lit­tle con­fused about why the high­light­ing in expose is in the wrong place. Its because expose is bro­ken in Office 2008. This isn’t just a prob­lem that has hap­pened to me once, it always hap­pens. Essen­tially, it is a con­stant fail­ure, and its an issue that Microsoft hasn’t addressed yet.

Also, some­times when I want to use expose to select a dif­fer­ent doc­u­ment, the doc­u­ment that I click on will just dis­ap­pear! Its still open, but I just can’t get to it. I also cant use cmd+tilda or anything.

The soft­ware is still use­able, but I feel like I’m using an open source prod­uct, not a com­mer­cial grade product.

I have never had a prob­lem with expose for any other appli­ca­tion, this is just ridiculous.

This is embar­rass­ing, Microsoft. Step up your game.

Alright, SO, I’m not sure of any­one reads this any­more, as I haven’t posted his Hal­loween, but I’ve decided to make an effort to actu­ally do some blog­ging. I’m going to try to post at least once a week (but once I go to Europe, thats when this blog is going to get innnnter­est­ing =D ). Also, I’ve changed my lay­out to some­thing a lot sim­pler while I revamp my old lay­out, which I like a lot bet­ter, but the color scheme needs a lot of work, so I’m going to leave this plain one up here for now until I fin­ish my actual layout.
