Incident on trip to Burger King
Can’t a guy go to Burger King without being pulled over by three cops?
So Brandon, Horatiu, and I are taking the bus down from SFU at around…12:30ish, and we see 3 cop cars racing down, one of which completely cut off our bus, and they head RIGHT to Horatiu’s house. At this point, we were mostly like double you tee eff, because from what we could see there was at least 3 cop cars, 1 fire truck, and 2 ambulances in front of his house. We pass by, nothing really interesting catches our eyes, but the cop was sure as hell interested at mine. He gave me a stare-down, and I gave him a nod.
So, at this point, there was nothing to see, it was Burger King time.We start driving down Hastings, and Brandon notices that one of the cops followed me onto Hastings, which forced me to do things that I don’t particularly like to do (go the speed limit, signal, etc.). This cop was essentially tailgating me, so we knew it was only a matter of time before we got pulled over, it was a matter of how long he could follow me without me breaking the law. Apperently that point didn’t come soon enough, so I was pulled over just before Boundary on Hastings. To my surprise, there was not one, not two, but THREE cop cars following me. Two were behind me, and one was in the next lane, almost beside me. Do I look like that much of a threat? So, obviously the cops were thinking of an excuse to pull me over, and I didn’t do anything wrong, so when he pulled me over I asked what the problem was. APPARENTLY this type of vehicle has stolen quite a few times lately (a Buick Century ’94? Yeah, right. There aren’t many of those around). This was his excuse. Whatever, I gave him my licence and registration, and that was that. I was just happy he didn’t give me a ticket for having 3 people in the car with a N license!
